Georgia is represented in international men's competitions by the Georgia national Rugby union team. Also famous as by the name of Lelos or Men of Borjgali, it is one of the quickest improving rugby sides of the world. It is ranked 12th according to World Rugby rankings. Lelos made the largest victory of their rugby history against Czech Republic when it defeated them by 98-3 in 2007. Georgia has made appearances in four editions of Rugby World Cup so far winning two matches. Georgia head coach Milton Haig is confident that his team will do their best to deliver a good performance in Rugby World Cup 2019. Georgia captain Merab Sharikadze also wants to play a top role with his team in Japan 2019.
